In IRSoc's first event of this Michaelmas term, we are pleased to host Marina Kaljurand, the Foreign Minister of Estonia. Having studied law and diplomacy in Estonia as well as on a Fulbright Scholarship to the USA, Ms. Kaljurand first worked as a lecturer in law. She has worked for the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1991, and served in several ambassadorial positions before becoming Foreign Minister this year. While nominated by the Reform Party, Ms. Kaljurand is herself unaffiliated with any political party. She will be addressing IRSoc on the subject of 'Estonian Foreign Policy Challenges in 2015'.
As our first event of term, entry will be FREE - membership can be purchased on the door for entry to future events. The event will be followed by a drinks reception.
